Charging generator is not working properly

The following diesel generator charging generator is not working properly the specific causes and trouble shooting method:

1, there is a strong charging generator commutator spark

Failure: poor contact between the brushes and commutator commutator erosion, pitting; or out of round convex; mica sheet.

Troubleshooting: adjust the brush pressure, make the contact normal; dressing commutator meet the specified requirements; shaving mica sheet.

2, charging generator working noise and clatter

Fault: bearing wear has obviously loose; bearing too tight, not installed correctly; magnetic pole screw loose, so that the magnetic pole and the armature friction.

Method: to replace bearings; bearing with improved calibration, installation method; tighten screws, whether to check whether the uniform air gap enough.

3, charging generator temperature too high

Fault: the armature coil magnetic field coil short circuit; short circuit; bearing or bite; belt tension force is too strong; brush spring force is too strong.

Troubleshooting: short circuit tester to check and repair; for measuring resistance bridge, and repair the filling of lubricating oil or cleaning bearings, replace grease; adjust the belt tension force; adjust the brush pressure spring.

4, the current table does not indicate the state of charge

Fault: charging circuit wires in poor contact; charging generator commutator oil or ablation; charging generator brush excessive wear, brush spring pressure is not enough; charging generator brush card lag or poor contact with the commutator brush or magnetic field; winding open circuit and short circuit; the charging generator regulator failure; belt tension force is not enough, charging generator speed down.

Elimination: the exclusion of wire broken or bad contact; commutator and brush cleaning repair; replacement; make brush to move freely in the stent, and fully contact with the commutator; use a bridge or short circuit tester to check and repair; repair and adjustment; adjustment provisions of belt tension.
